White House Tavern
The White House Tavern resides in the oldest building in Aspen, Colorado— a Carpenter Gothic style home built in 1883. I took cues from vintage letterhead and Sanborn Insurance map lettering from the same period to develop an identity that reflects the building’s rich history.
Traditional letterpress printing provides tactility and a historic tone to the stationary.
The dining room is intimate and causal, occupying what was once the living area of the home. Natural textures and papers bring a feeling of warmth and informality to the menus.
